The Forgotten
The Forgotten
After experiencing the long journey of being a caregiver for my Mother who was stricken with the horrible disease of Alzheimer’s, this piece represents all of the aged, suffering in their silence. It represents their world, their lifetime, their memories, slowly being ripped away. I saw so many in skilled nursing facilities filled with beautiful people…many with no visitors day after day… the lonely, the heartbroken, reaching out for just one connection to reality, human to human.
